Synopsis:
When businesswoman Max (44) and her same sex partner Harri (36) get a call from the school of their 9 year old adopted son, Alex, neither are prepared to learn that he and his friend Gavin have been using Tinder under a fake profile.
Deciding how to deal with this appropriately is complicated, but is made more so when the women learn that Alex has been conversing on the app with Elaine, someone Max has known since childhood, but hasn't spoken to for several years.
Max's stability in life, and her professional success, are in no small part due to Harri's good influence. A firefighter and fitness fanatic, several years ago Harri tore Max away from a destructive lifestyle of partying (and acquaintances such as Elaine, of whom Harri is contemptuous) and Max turned her life around: today she is the CFO of a marketing agency, hardly touches alcohol, and she and Harri regularly run marathons together.
But that night, when Harri is called out on an emergency, and with Alex asleep, Max decides to call her old friend Elaine. When Harri returns earlier than expected, what follows is a tense, explosive, at times hilarious and ultimately heartwarming lesson in human relationships, with an ending that is as surprising as it is tearjerking.
