This time it's pencil... an interesting exercise... we had to draw the outline of the figure without taking our pencil off the paper... (!) ... i think this was a half hour pose... quite exhausting to be honest!

One with of linseed oil and I am transported back to 1992, in the art department at King's Canterbury, painting rocks on a truly awful Dali inspired monstrosity... I read something somewhere - a quote from someone of some artistic repute - where they said you always have your taste, but your skills have to catch up with it. Sorry darling but that's absolute rubbish. You taste evolves as you grow. If i had the same (lack of) taste I had when I was 18..... sheesh.. what a nightmare...
Anyway... today I'd like to think my taste has evolved in the last quarter century!
From today's figure drawing class.... Oil on paper, 1 hour pose.
